I've purchased numerous bedding and bath items from Pottery Barn over the past 25 years. I've purchased sheets, blankets, throws, towels, shower curtains, bedspreads, etc.

with no complaints -- that is until the past year. I've purchased three different sets of PB bath towels in the past year and all three have lost their color in splotches all over the towels. At first I blamed my teenage daughter who regularly uses acne products that can cause discoloration on towels, and these PB towels did have that orangey look that acne products leave behind, but she insisted she never used these towels when using her acne products. Also, these towels were in the powder room and the master bathroom where my daughter would not be using acne products.

When the towels that only my husband uses began to turn orangey, I knew that it was not due to acne products. Also, my non-PB towels in the powder room and master bathroom were not getting any splotches. PB towels are too expensive for this to happen!

I did not bother trying to return the towels because a month had elapsed since I placed the order. I will NEVER buy PB towels again!!!

Reason of review: Damaged or defective.

Monetary Loss: $250.

Preferred solution: Full refund.

Pottery Barn Cons: Poor quality of towels and unfair refund policy.

Location: Murrysville, Pennsylvania

I have the same issue , I thought it was me. I have the issue with the Porc.

Blue ones. I never use Bleach, like NEVER. I don't use any type of Acne wash. My kids use Fieldcrest towels from Target, it does not happen to those towels.

All towels in my house are washed the same.I even went to another PB , 8 months later to get newer towels ( same colour) and it happened to them as well.. I feel your pain. I called P.

Barns 800 number, they sais that they never had a complaint and advised me to call the local store. They advised that since they were washed , they could not help.
