Slipcovers will not fit back on couch after washing

I bought a pottery barn basic couch with slipcover approximately one year ago. I bought the couch specifically because I have a dog and wanted to be able to wash the cover. The first time I tried to wash the slipcover I followed the washing instructions online but...

Pottery Barn Kids

I ordered a personalized step stool and a Christmas Advent Calendar for my daughter from Pottery Barn Kids and they did not write out her name correctly. Furthermore, they indicated that there was nothing they could do because it was a personalized item. I indicated...

More than likely, the person that wrote this review made a typo online when placing the order. I work in customer service for PBK, and if the mistake is ours, we will replace the items.

We schedule a free UPS pickup and issue a replacement immediately. Nine times our of ten, the mistake is because some mom can't spell her own kids name.

Still waiting for the correct slip cover

I purchased a sofe from Pottery Barn in June of this year. It arrived in July with the wrong slip cover. I was told that the correct slip cover would arrive in about 3 weeks, that never happened. It is almost September and still no slip cover. I call the design studio every two days and I have spoken with fifteen different customer service rep. They do very little to help me get the correct slip cover. All the say to me is to just wait. I asked for a tracking number and they would not give it to me. Every time I call I get a different answer about the slip cover. I will never purchase anything from Pottery Barn again, they can not deliver what the customer purchased or even care if the order is correct.

Pottery Barn Chesapeake Collection is Terrible

We purchased a whole set of Pottery Barn Chesapeake Collection "outdoor" furniture. I use quotes because the furniture is terrible and not suitable for outdoor use. We have it outdoors only from early June to mid-August and after three summers (ie., six months of outdoor use) it is in terrible shape. When I complained to Pottery Barn, they advised us that they recommend the furniture be moved inside during inclement weather. Okay.... Do they really think we should pick up all the furniture and bring it indoors every time there is inclement weather? And what specifically is inclement weather, anyway? A shower, a thunderstorm, something worse? If that's their view, they should prominently say so (rather than in fine type) and put wheels on the furniture. Unfortunately, like most of Pottery Barn furniture, it looks better in the catalog than in real life. Stay away from the Chesapeake Collection.

Had the exact problem. Our Chesapeake table looks like it has been through the war...

and this is after one SoCal season. Pretty disappointing.

Could not agree more with this. Not only is the product ***, but dealing with customer service is even worse.

Read all the fine print carefully, because the pictures on the website look nothing like what you get. Most of the time, you have to pay extra for what you see on the site.

1 bag restriction per customer

I shopped at pottery barn kids at valley fair (san jose California ) on 06/27/08. I purchased a couple of kids cups (4 of them) and also a toy (doctor bag). The sales girl is trying to give a very big bag and I said , do you have a smaller bag and she said "I only have a very small bag" So I said that's ok. I said I will need 2 for all the stuff that I bought and she said sorry we can only give one. I was very suprised by that response. The girl said , yes we do not have that much but I saw bunch of stacks of carrying bags still. I was very dissapointed. Pottery barn should really pay attention to the people they hired. With this I rather shop in walmart.

Maybe you looked like a shoplifter and the associate was worried you would use the extra bags to steal items and 'return' them.

#218809

Sounds to me like the problem was the sales associate herself and not Pottery Barn as a whole. I've asked for smaller bags from the store all the time and have always been given them. I would have asked to speak with a manager instead of immediately condeming the entire brand name due to one individual.

Yea Wal-Mart, Pottery Barn those are almost the same store. Come on grow up every corporation has a bad egg or two instead of complaining on this site just talk with her manager I don't see in your complaint that you did that.

Pottery Barn Chesapeake is horrible!!!!

Pottery Barn Chesapeake is horrible!!!! The wood splits like tissue paper. do not buy! it does not last at all. it is described as teak, and it is hardly better than cardboard. don't waste your money. even the pottery barn guy admitted it, and then failed to stand...

The website states VERY CLEARLY that it is eucalyptus NOT teak!!!! And I'm sure that all these people just left their stuff out year round.

You CANNOT do that with wood of ANY kind.

Sold LOTS of the Chesapeake and customers VERY happy. If you're lazy and expect to just leave stuff out year-round, you're right, don't by wood, buy another material like resin or other like materials.

Sick and tired of all these lazy - self-entitled people who like to complain. Get a life!

Worthless Plates

My wife and I registered for Pottery Barn Table settings, specifically the Sausalito set. After 4 months of hand washing, we are down two salad plates, two soup bowls, and one coffee mug. These dishes are ***, and when they chip, they soak up water fast. So if you were...

I have the same problem with the PB plates. I purchased the soup bowls, square plates and round plates.

They are not sealed properly so water soaks into the ceramic. When I wash them, I have to set them on the counter to dry for days. If I stack them before all the moisture has dried, they mold under the finish and smell bad. I took them back and they did give me new plates but they were the same.

Do not buy them. I had better dishes from Target.

Pottery Barn rug not New Zealand Wool

We just received the one and only hand-knotted rug Pottery Barn sells, and advertised as New Zealand wool. However, the labels on the back of the rug clearly state it is made with Woolmark wool, a trademark for wool producers of Australia. The two are very different....

POTTERY BARN DOES NOT KEEP ITS PROMISE

I ordered a sofa from a Pottery Barn Store, to be delivered a month after my order. One month later, when they did not call me about my order, I tried to call them and I was told it was still on back order. I had to wait and call the design studio multiple times for them at last give me an answer that said my order was still in back order and I would not be able to get my order for 2 more months. Now I am told I have to cancel and re-order the sofa and wait for two more months! The first thing they failed to do as a responsible company was not to notify me about the change in my order. Second thing was that they could not provide an alternative solution. Third, they did not bother, even for once, to return my calls of inquiry about a possible solution, or about an update. Fourth, never, not even once, they apologized for the situation. Finally, and I think most importantly, nobody at the store when I put my order, told me about this possibility, that it could be three months until I could get this sofa. IF I KNEW IT WAS A POSSIBILITY, THEN I WOULD RECONSIDER MY OPTIONS! So, I STRONGLY WARN you against buying anything for order from POTTERY BARN. It is not worth it.
