Going through the exact same thing... ordered a couch in August, supposed to be delivered in Sept/Oct....

they lost a piece, will not deliver the other pieces, it's January and still no couch. Will not offer any compensation other than a gift card after the couch is delivered.

Pottery Barn review in New York, New York: FAULTY PRODUCT - TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE

We purchased a Premium Sunbrella® Rectangular Umbrella from Pottery Barn two years ago. The umbrella was only used three months per year (total 6 months of use). The crank to open and close the umbrella did not work with ease but worked well enough for the few times it was used. This summer, the crank stopped working altogether. The crank spins with no results. I reached out to customer service five times before receiving a scripted reply. After answering all of their questions, a second representative declined a replacement or refund. My dissatisfied reply was responded to by yet another customer service rep. Pottery Barn complaints are handled by whoever receives the email - which is totally impersonal and rude. For a huge corporation, that is BAD customer relations. We will no longer shop at PB. There are plenty of other companies that carry the same products and have SUPERB customer care.

I have the Chesapeake sectional, table chairs and umbrella and it is JUNK! I had same issue and they said I needed to put teak oil on it! It was ridiculous millions of slats to paint ...took my husband and I an entire weekend! It didn't last and needs to be done again. Its only 4 years old! I would have never bought it... maintence nighmare!I will never buy from pottery barn again either! Maybe we could get a class action suit and get a partial refund? the shipping fee again is ridiculous.

First, I am a newer customer to shopping at pottery barn. I'm pregnant with my first and decided to splurge a little. Everything... I mean everything was pushed to being backordered after I made my registry which prompted me to purchase it in fear that I wouldn't receive it in time. It took months to receive the final items. I placed 4 orders and everything came in separate. They also played around with my banking accounts. charging you and then reimbursing you back. In my opinion this is unacceptable. Most ppl I know don't live like the Rockefeller's with a couple hundred dollar cushion in their bank accounts. I messes things up.... If you think you have an item in stock and you change an account... then realize that you don't have it in stock like you originally thought and reimburse the persons account HOW ABOUT YOU MAKE SURE THAT YOU REIMBURSE THEM THE SAME AMOUNT YOU CHARGED! It's not a hard concept. I truly believe I will NEVER shop there again. Officially disgusted!

I purchased a small desk....nothing complicated, a flat top about 3 " thick 30" wide and maybe the same height. I am waiting on delivery of a new desk but need something for my grandson, until it comes. The desk cost 159.00 I selected it. 15.00 was added. I cannot recall if that was S&H at first...... Total ............... 174.00. I continue checkout, only to discover the TOTAL IS ???? 206.70..., They added 21.00 FOR SHIPPING &HANDLING Plus 11.70 for tax I ASKED THEM TO REMOVE THE SURCHARGE via Email AND THEY WILL NOT!!! I thought my bill was 174.00 PLUS TAX It's not like this desk is a HEAVY CREDENZA or something of that nature . IT HAS TAKEN ME 65 minutes on 3 phone calls.....KEPT WAITING FOR A CUST? SERVICE OP. and still cannot speak to one !!!!!!! I WONDER WHY??????? My advice..........SHOP AT COMPANIES WHERE YOUR CHARGES ARE NOT DUPLICATED!!!!!!

I work for this company and sometimes people expect us to ship their furniture free of charge. Please!!!!

It's a piece of furniture and it is heavy!! Even when you buy a pair of shoes onile, they charge you for the delivery!!!

Just to follow up on the above complaint......desk came, delivered to another Number House......I had to go out and search for it. They INSISTED, the driver left it at my house...

They would not remove any of what I considered to be TWO delivery charges....., the desk was SMALL, STURDY AND NICE but NOT WORTH 200 dollars.....

Maybe 60.00

POINT OF STORY...... I will NEVER AGAIN DEAL WITH THIS CROWD.......DONE !
