Pottery Barn review in Seattle East, Washington: Constant delays

1.0
Details
Ordered some bar stools back in February. They were back ordered until June and then July and then August! I called to cancel and was told that it was. Two days later I get an email that they are in store and ready for pickup, what the *** I called the store and was told that I was competing with 99 other stores and that if I had paid for shipping to my home I would have received them in June!!! What the *** kind of business is this. I am done, I will never buy anything from this place again.

My Wife and I ordered a $5000 leather sectional on labor day, we were told that it would be delivered between the 9th and the 23rd of November. We were totally ok with that we knew ahead of time to expect that time frame the woman at the store told us they estimate...

Pottery Barn review in Everett, Washington: Defrauding the customer

Purchased bedroom system from Pottery Barn Teen on July 4th 2016. Confirmed order and delivery date between 5-15th of Aug. on the 20th phoned PB Teen and asked for update. Customer service stated one item from system was on back order and would fulfill ASAP - PB Teen would update in a week. Aug 30th- no email update. Phoned 2nd time - now more than one item on back order. PB Teen stated they would expedite order. Sept 9th, email stating item no longer available. Problem - purchased ensemble items to go with bedroom system, PB Teen refused to refund back additional items. Policy is that after 30 days only store credit and returns at expense of customer irrespective of situation. Bottom line - clear defrauding of customer and tant amount to theft. Customer to pay for delinquent merchandise and incur the fees associated. Buyer be ware - BBB and attorney generals office should be informed of these practices.

Pottery Barn - Cancellation Policy Review from Puyallup, Washington

Poor Customer Service. I placed an order and made an error so I called within the hour of order. Rep says they have no ability to see an order and therefore cannot change or cancel to avoid unnecessary shipment. In their defense It does state on the website once an order is placed there is no way to cancel but really is this necessary especially in the first hour of order? Rep was rude and snappy and made me feel like an a#% for asking for help. I called back a second time an hour later to see if I'd have better luck with another rep. Same deal! Rude and just told me it was likely tough luck. The item was not going to be safe for my child's age, I realized only after finding a YouTube video explaining the product, not explained on PB's site. I told both reps it was not age appropriate and I had concerns but both just blew it off as my own problem. I just feel they get a rise outa sticking it to their customers. In an age where companies bend over backwards to accommodate the customer I sure feel *** for trusting this well known supposed high quality company. I guess word will eventually get around then we will be reading articles similar to other well known stores. Hopefully the articles will be about stores closing with something in the title like "pottery barn, what went wrong"?

I ordered 4 pieces from the Whitney Corner Desk collection and it doesn't match at all. The almond white is different on the corner piece vs the file cabinets that butt up against the whole unit. PB refuses to help and I have spent hours on the phone asking and begging...

If you had ordered it actually through a store, that would not have happened. The shipping price is bundled into store pricing, so the prince you see is the price you pay.

If its returned, you receive the full amount back. When you order online, the break their pricing up between the price of the item, shipping and processing, and item surcharges (based on size and weight).

If you return something back to the online store, you are out shipping. Like most places would.

Pottery Barn RIDIC Service DONT BOTHER

We had a registry with them, they shipped to an old address that I had since updated. Then kept shipping replacement items then finally merch cards (once call tags got too expensive) to that address. Two months after my wedding I finally got merch cards in the mail after probably 15 calls, all snotty, unintelligent folk that delight on 10 min holds. UNBELIEVABLE! I will NEVER order from Pottery Barn or West ELm again. Do not register here, what an unbelievable pain in the ***. They also tried to tell me I could only use merch card and registry completion discount on PB items only (not true, work for all the companies they own). They have nice stuff, worth it if you are dealing with in store purchases and returns but don't bother ordering online or on phone. They are not cool enough to be ***.

Too complicated, simplify. When did PB allow registry completion at West Elm?

Didn't you have a contact person at PB to work with you? Messy

Most special order furniture is not returnable. It is the job of the consumer to research what will & will not work in their space.

As for the media center, you are wrong; whenever something is delivered damaged it is always replaced ASAP.

Finally, (2) pieces do not equal a $20k expenditure so you are prone to exaggeration. Customer service received is not based on how much is spent.....one usually gets the best service when they are the most polite.
